Ian Gregg established the Greggs Trust as a registered charity in 1987 with the aim of putting something back into the communities where Greggs has shops and our customers and staff live. The Trust provides grants that can be used to enhance the quality of life of disadvantaged people.
Most of the amount donated to charity by the company is disbursed via the trust. In addition to the company’s contribution members of the Gregg family regularly donate some of their dividends to the trust. Together this gives the trust an annual income of over £800,000.
Around the country, we have seven regional Charity Trust Committees based in the individual Divisions of Greggs plc who administer and allocate grants to worthy projects in their area. To date approximately £15 million pounds has been allocated.
