Last year our customers helped us to raise over £70,000 for BBC Children in Need and with your support we‘d like to raise even more in 2007.

BBC Children in Need‘s aim is "to positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK". Here at Greggs we support this aim and currently fund 125 breakfast clubs in primary schools in disadvantaged areas across the UK.

Once again our staff have asked if they can support BBC Children in Need and so Greggs and Bakers Oven are now proud to be supporting the 2007 BBC Children in Need Appeal on Friday 16th November as an official corporate partner

So what are we doing?

In all our shops look out for

  • Special Pudsey biscuits and cakes which go on sale from the beginning of November. A donation from each sale will go to BBC Children in Need
  • Pudsey mobile charms which the kids will love, for sale in your local shop for £1.00 only, with all profits going to the charity
  • Staff fundraising and dressing-up days. If you see the staff dressing up and having fun in your local store, please make a donation which will go directly to Children in Need
  • Collection boxes to make a direct donation
  • We are also holding a competition for the children in our breakfast club schools to Design a Healthy Lunchbox for Pudsey
So why not call into one of our local shops, try one of our tasty products and help raise money for a great cause?

The BBC Children in Need Appeal is a registered charity, number 802052. This year's Appeal takes place on Friday 16 November. Every year, thanks to public donations and the amazing efforts of fundraisers and corporate partners like Greggs plc, the charity is able to provide support to thousands of youngsters, aged 18 and under. For every penny donated to the charity, a penny will go directly to a project helping disadvantaged children in the UK. The charity is able to make this promise because it uses its investment income to cover all operational costs.
