One of the founding principles of Bakers Oven is that we put people first. To make sure that Bakers Oven is a great place to work, we have developed a series of Values to ensure that we really treat people – both staff and customers – the way they deserve to be treated.

There are a number of initiatives that we have in place for the benefit of our staff. These include an Employee Charter, a commitment to our people to keep them informed and involved in our business objectives, regular feedback and we welcome people’s questions and suggestions that can help improve the business and working environment. Employees also have the opportunity to become a member of the Union.

We activity encourage staff social events and many divisions operate a social committee to organise activities outside of work. Many of our staff also become involved in charity fundraising events – some of which are organised by the company but many are initiated by individuals who want to support charities or causes that are close to their heart.

Our shop staff are our daily point of contact with our customers, and the production and distribution staff ensure the timely delivery of quality, enjoyable products. Our reputation depends entirely on the service and products these two groups provide. Our philosophy in making Bakers Oven a great place to work is based on our belief that not only does this make sound business sense, its also the right thing to do.
