Assistant Shop Manager:

As an assistant retail manager you will be part of the retail management team, supporting the manager to lead by example. You will care for the team and customers, whilst creating the friendly atmosphere Bakers Oven is well known for. It goes without saying you’ll have prior retail/catering experience with loads of business knowledge and initiative but it’s the way you manage people we like the most.

A typical day means assisting in managing, developing and inspiring your team, having superb product availability, maintaining excellent standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

“I work with the shop manager and get involved with all aspects of the shop. I like the feeling of responsibility although at times I have to check if I’m not sure. I feel my confidence has grown in this role and hope to run my own shop as manager one day. The training has been great overall and I think the overall benefits of working for the Company are good.”
